Doukhobor Discovery Centre
The Doukhobor Discovery Centre (DDC) is home to ten historical buildings on ten acres of land. It holds roughly 1,600 artifacts including, historical photographs, textiles, and interactive displays, which celebrate and showcase the history and culture of the Doukhobor peoples. The DDC is one of Castlegar’s major tourist attractions and is one of the few places in Canada where visitors can experience life in a Doukhobor village setting. Come down to the DDC to learn more about the Doukhobors’ rich culture and history as well as Canada’s multicultural heritage.
