Niagara-On-The-Lake Museum

Visiting the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum offers a charming and informative dive into the history of this picturesque town. Located in the heart of the historic district, the museum is housed in a beautiful 19th century high school and the first community Museum building in Ontario. The collection spans several centuries, offering insights into the Town’s development from early Indigenous history through to the present. It is most known for its unrivalled War of 1812 collection which includes Major General Brock’s hat, the largest Laura Secord collection in Canada and several British uniforms. Displays also focus on the social, recreational and tourism histories of this growing community.
