Nov 14, 2017 – Thorold seeks input on displaying Prince of Wales Award

THOROLD — Being singled out by the future king of England and Canada isn’t something that happens every day, so folks in Thorold want to make sure they let the world know that even Prince Charles has taken notice of their status as heritage conservation champions.

To do that, though, they want to hear from residents.

Thorold heritage advocates and city politicians were beaming with pride last month when Thorold was presented with the Prince of Wales Award from the National Trust for Canada for heritage conservation.

The award, approved by the heir to the throne, was called the most prestigious of 20 awards handed out at the National Trust gala in October.
