Membership Rates
Starting June 1st, 2023 the National Trust for Canada’s membership rates increased slightly.
Here are our new rates effective June 1, 2023:

It’s hard to believe, but the National Trust for Canada’s membership rates haven’t increased since 2011 and during that time we’ve been working hard to increase our membership offerings with the following:
- an on-demand library of over 40 learning opportunities just for members – A Year of Learning
- double the number of historic sites to visit in Canada – now over 100.
- a reciprocal visiting agreement that now includes over 1000 historic sites around the globe through the International National Trusts Organization’s visitation program INTO Places
With inflation and the increase in our membership offerings, the costs of running our membership program have increased over time, and it is time for a membership rate increase. Please renew your membership at www.nationaltrustcanada.ca/join before June 1st to take advantage of the old membership pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
- I am an international resident, is the surcharge increasing too?
No, any and all surcharges are staying the same.
- Will the tax amount that I pay increase?
The provincial tax percentage that is required by law to apply will stay the same, but because the membership fee is now a bit higher, the amount of tax that is charged will also increase ever so slightly.
- Will any of my current benefits as a member change as a result of this increase?
No. All your membership benefits will stay exactly the same.
