Get to know us

We are a member-based organization governed by a national Board of volunteer leaders from across Canada. Our members are grassroots volunteers, practitioners, professionals, and organizations working to save and renew Canada’s historic places – architects, engineers, developers, trades and craftspeople, elected officials, heritage administrators, property owners, urban planners, volunteers, and more – and the property owners and cultural tourists who live, learn, work, and play in great heritage sites and destinations.

The Governor General of Canada has been the National Trust’s patron since the organization’s inception. Click here for more information about Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.Q., C.D., Governor General, and Commander-in-Chief of Canada.
